A great view of the dresser. Can you tell I'm proud of it? It was an old wood dresser with tacky (sorry mom) handles. My parents used it when I was a kid...so we took it and spruced it up!!! And I absolutely love it! And my friend Shawna (the same one that took Averie's pregnancy pics, and hopefully this baby's preg pics soon)gave me the idea...I have to give her that (she is due in December)!

So...Averie is now a big girl! She slept in her big room last night for the first time! She did very good...she didn't have any problems sleeping (she almost never does), Daddy woke her up this morning to get the day started early because we have an appt. at 2:15 (right in the middle of her usual nap-so I could put her down for an early nap). And when he woke her up this morning, she stood up, signed bed/nap and laid back down. Silly girl. Guess she likes her new room! She is napping in there as I type! We did the usual diaper change, sat in the rocker and I sang her two songs and put her in bed. As soon as I sat in the rocker, she signed bed. One thing that was weird last night was walking by the nursery...the very empty nursery and having her not be in there. It'll be even more weird when there is another baby in there!!! In 37 days! Unless today's visit with the Dr. moves me up...hopefully not...but we'll see! Well, I have dishes to do and must get on the the road by 1:30pm! I'll post later! :o)

AFTERNOON SNACK

We love graham crackers for an afternoon snack! Notice that Averie has to have my glass of milk on her tray so she can dip her crackers too!!

I kept saying "MUSH" in a silly voice because she was dipping her crackers and sucking the milk out and dipping the same part again until it turned into...well... "MUSH!" She though it was hilarious!

HERE COMES THE BRIDE!

A wedding weekend! My cousin got married on Saturday and I was in the wedding. Here we are (the pics are out of order...oh well) before the reception in a little park that was behind the reception hall. Averie would like more graham crackers in this pic.

Yes, you guessed it...they had just kissed and I snapped it just after! They are at the Fiesta on Saturday having a good time! They had already been swimming and ate and were winding down for the evening!

Sunday...

At the 72nd annual Family reunion! We ate very well, played, swam etc.! And then went to an Ice Cream Social at church! What a busy busy day!

Other than that, our weekend was pretty boring!! haha! Averie has developed a little runny nose and is chewing everything...I wish whatever teeth are trying to poke through, they do it soon! She does not like having her nose wiped...I don't blame her though! She has been sleeping 12 hours at night and taking 2.5 hour naps too! Something is going on!!! We'll keep you posted!

She is also getting excited for her "BIG" room! She loves to go in there and walk around in her crib and pick up her new stars (to hang on her wall) and carry around paint sticks and all sorts of stuff! It is funny to watch her discover new things and experiement with daddy's stuff (she continues to wear a paint pouring lid as a hat and carry around the spackle for the walls). More updates to come...and maybe some pics...

We are still here! Things have been crazy around here! Between Averie being so active and me being so tired and well, what can we say...the blog is the first to go! Averie is growing and changing so fast right now. She repeats words all the time. And is running and enjoying the weather and water. We are also working so hard on her BIG room (as we call it). We have to get the dresser yet, and some odds and ends, but it is coming along so well! We are also on baby two's dr. appts every two weeks...with an ultrasound and appt. on August 16th! So, that is keeping us busy as well!

I am feeling okay these days, a little more tired and worn out, especially since the nesting is going on and I have been trying to keep my house in order! And keep up with stuff outside and the list goes on! This week, Rece and his mommy and daddy are in town and we have been hanging out with them a lot. And we also have my cousins wedding next weekend and are trying to get last minute details ironed out there! So it's been a little hectic around here! I hope everyone is keeping busy and having a great August so far! We are! The pool is really helping out with all the heat too! Even if the pool temp is 92 degrees...it is still a little refreshing! Well...off to print some stuff for the wedding! :o)
