Our Family Room...after the weekend (can you find Averie)!?
Well, we had a very great Christmas! Averie was spoiled of course...but that's what Christmas is for, right?! We traveled to Grandma and Grandpa's about 2.5 hours away Fri. and Sat. Then back to Grandma and Grandpa's close to home for Christmas Eve church and Christmas morning! We also went to church Christmas Day and than to G.G.'s for lunch and family time with the extended family! Averie ate and ate and ate! She loved everything from ham to the egg yolks in the betty's salad!!! She opened many many presents and was pretty good at it! She did love the boxes and paper and ribbons a lot! Thank you everyone for everything!

So, this morning, Averie has mastered the art of going from butt to belly and back and forth, over and over again! She can do this to get around the room pretty well! She also crawled two or three times today. Not quite the right coordination, but her hands were going and her knees were following. She only made it about 6 or so inches...but it is a great start! So, maybe by Rece's B-day party?! Well, we are staying in today and relaxing! Hopefully, you all had a great weekend, and it didn't go by too fast! Happy New Year! 

Silly Girl
So, this morning at 10, Averie's usual nap time, we head upstairs to change her diaper. Then we go into her room, turn on her white noise, hug and I put her down. She usually talks to herself for 25-30 minutes before she falls asleep...which happened like normal. So I jump into the shower and do my hair, makeup etc. 20 or so minutes go by and she is still talking to herself and having a ball! So, I continue my normal routine. A couple minutes later all of the sudden her room is filled with lullaby music! And for those of you that know, her white noise is attached to her crib, at the top! Silly girl! I peek in and see socks on the floor, a mashed down bumper and Averie standing there playing with her white noise-lullaby maker (the air is filled with the smell of stinky poop, too)! She squeals at me and gets excited, so I pick her up and change her and put new socks on her and put her back in bed. She talks to her bear for about 5 minutes and finally falls asleep! When I peek in again to make sure, she is asleep with her booty in the air...it looks like she went to roll over and fell asleep in the middle of the roll! Too funny! Well, that's my story! The Snow is Falling!!
Averie and I just came in from outside! See her rosie cheeks (and the water droplets on her hat)? I put her in the sling and we walked two blocks to the mail box to mail our Christmas cards! She was doing her "cheese" face whenever a snowflake would fall on her face! She liked it outside. Now she is down for her afternoon nap and mommy gets to clean and organize the house! :oP

Well, we are settled into our temporary home (thanks to Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Brad, Rece and his parents). We will be here for a couple of months. We will hopefully be closing on our next house in mid January! That is exciting, it is out in the country with a pool and an acre and a half of space to stretch out and relax! Can't wait. We should be in there before Averie's 1st b-day! At least that is our goal! I hope you all have a great weekend and we'll post some more later! Bye! Christmas is only 10 days away...are you ready? 

9 MONTHS THIS SATURDAY!!!
Averie was 18#3.1oz. and 27.5" long at her 9 month appointment today (she gained about 2 lbs. and grew 2 inches)!!! 50th percentile for both! Dr. says she is doing so well! And no shots today. That was good!

Like the crazy pics? We were feeling creative this evening!! The yellow pic is her "cheese" face! She squints her eyes and wrinkles her nose and smiles, all at the same time! Hope you're all doing well! We move on Saturday and probably won't post til after Monday (when the cable guy comes to hook us up)! Bye for now. Have a great weekend!

WHATEVER IT IS! I DIDN'T DO IT! 

Mommy here: Just to let you all know, we sold our house! It's official as we closed on Tuesday! We are very excited, but sad at the same time! We are looking at houses out toward the country. For the next couple months at least, we'll be living in a rental house. That is, until we find something permanent. So, we will try to keep you all posted on Averie, but will not have a computer for a few days while everything gets hooked up and moved. This will start next week/weekend. I will do my best to keep you updated on her latest accomplishments while we are in the crazy holiday season and moving, but no promises! Take care and Happy Holidays!
