DON'T YOU DARE FALLSee the bear on Averie's push toy? Well, she was so funny tonight...everytime the bear would slide off the toy, she would freak out. She would scream, plop down to her butt and pick the bear up and put it back on to her push toy. Most of the time when she would put it back on her toy...it would slide right back down. So she would scream, plop down and get it again. We both figured out that it worked better if I helped get the bear stablized for her. Then she would happily push it around the room. Until...dun.dun.dun...it would fall off again! Then the cycle would happen again and again. She did the same thing this morning with a stuffed Easter egg. Hmmm...not sure if that is her temper or her determination showing through...we'll go with determination!
SUNGLASSES AND TEETH
Averie totally loved the sunglasses at GAP. We were there spending her b-day money and returning a couple of things too! We tried on several pair and decided that these were the ones we liked. Although we didn't buy them...Averie already has sunglasses that I bought her when she was like a month old (they were huge then). They fit her well now. We also have four teeth now too! Check 'em out! And we have four!!
THREE TEETHYea! Averie's third tooth poked through! Can you see it? Her top left one! It came through on Saturday night and was through all the way across by Sunday morning! Such a big girl!
Wagon Time
We had a good time this weekend! We pulled Averie around in her wagon, which she loved! The 3rd pic...she is looking for her dad...and her dad is chasing her dog! And the last pic...she is just looking cute! :o) We hope you had a good weekend! More pics to come this week!
THE SHOTS!!
Well, Averie (and mommy) made it through the shots and Dr. appt today. It was actually not that bad. They weighed her and took her measurements and asked about her milk intake and if she was walking and so on and so forth. It went so good. She laid down for the shots-got one in each leg and cried. Once I picked her up though, she wasn't screaming hardly at all. But she did take a good look at the nurse that gave her the shots so I think she'll remember next time, if we have the same nurse. We did get a recommendation for an opthamologist for her clogged duct. :o( Hopefully no surgery...but we'll see. So, all is well! Averie is 29" tall and weighs 19lbs. 1.3oz. She still gets to face backwards, but that's ok, it's safer that way anyways! I think that's about all for now. In the pic from today, she is playing with her new purse. She likes to get phone calls from Cookie Monster. And put her lipstick on! Have a good day! Averie says: Here I am with Rece at my house over the weekend. We played a lot and had a good time. Silly Rece, he was being so nice to me. Then I wanted nothing to do with him...hence the bottom picture. This isn't one of the better pictures of them, but the other ones kept coming up as invalid. I'll try again later.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEE!Averie was so excited to wake up with a balloon in her room! She says "baaoo!" This morning we came into her room with her presents and sang Happy Birthday! She was all smiles! We also took her to Max and Erma's for lunch and they all sang to her! She just looked at them! We than went and got her one year old pictures done at Sears! We got some serious ones and two smile ones. They turned out very good (it was a little struggle to get those smiles though)!AVERIE'S STORY
Averie was born at 8:26 a.m. Born by C-section on a very chilly, yet sunny March 10, 2005. I (mommy) can remember the sun just beeming in the operating room right into my eyes as I was surrounded by Dr.'s and nurses doing their jobs. It was surreal. I can remember laying there waiting for daddy to come in. Finally he did and they were ready to go. Moments later Dr. N. said "We have a head! Full of hair!" Mommy said laughing, "Is it girl hair or is it boy hair?" "Everyone laughed, but were nervous-exicited to see you come out healthy. Then moments later, "It's a....GIRL!!!!" Mommy said with tears in her eyes, "YEAAAAAA!!!" (She wanted a girl). Daddy and mommy were so happy. You were NOT happy, you were wailing soooo loudly! You were healthy. They swiftly brought you by our left side on the way to the room to weigh you and get you warm! You were perfect! Shortly after that, daddy went in and snapped your picture (posted below...4 minutes after your birth)! You were so sweet and perfect. They laid you on me for a little bit but I was nervous you'd fall off...so daddy just held you with joy! You still didn't have an official name...It was Kendall or Averie. But by the time we reached the recovery room you were Averie. We did have to write it out before we picked the spelling. You were perfect in every way. You nursed right away...for 20 minutes on both sides. And you just laid there in everyones arms and were admired and loved. Just as you are today! We love you and can't wait to spend ours lives making you happy and admiring you...our little girl! Happy Birthday BIG GIRL! We love you! Love, Mommy and Daddy
Not the one I was looking for...I'll keep looking! This is in the recovery room. Maybe 1 hour old.
At Max and Erma's!
Should be back by Monday at the latest!!!
