SWIM
Well, swimming is going well so far! We've made it through two classes! Today Averie started learning breath control! She went under water numerous times and reached for the bar and came up and held on to the bar (the bar is a bar in the water...it is easier to hold on to than the side and teaches the kids the idea of holding on to the side of the pool with their heads above the water). She is also learning to float on her back...she has been doing that very well. We are very happy with her classes at this point. Two days down 5 and a half (at the most) weeks to go! :o) I will post pics soon. I haven't taken any yet b/c I like to watch her in the water and cheer her on. I'll take some soon though! 
****Baby Adam ***********Alex when he was born!
Adam Matthew was born yesterday at 6:50 p.m. He is 8lb. 10oz. and 20 1/2 inches in length! Alex is a BIG brother!!! Congratulations!! I (mommy) am going to the hospital today to visit them. Averie is going to stay at home with her grandma! I will bring back more pictures of the happy family!

ZOO DAY
We went to the zoo on Saturday with Averie's cousins and Aunt and Uncle (Maddie, Max, Mandy and Todd). It was a great day for the zoo...we got there when they opened and it wasn't busy at all!! We saw so many animals...tigers, penguins, elephants, rinos, birds, giraffes...okay, too many to list! But mommy forgot the battery to her camera so we had to use the cell phone camera! It worked okay but none of the animal pictures would resize in my phone so I couldn't send them to my email. I am not sure why. But the three here all worked! More pics from the busy weekend to come!

EASTER FUN
We colored Easter eggs yesterday...it was a lot of fun! Averie got into it more than I thought she would! She was dropping eggs in the cups like a pro! We went through the dozen so fast that we had to just give her an egg and a cup of plain water and let her put it in and take it out over and over! It was a little messy as well...she only got the pink on her hand and leg. And from what I can see this morning it is already gone. So, that is good news! I figured pink would blend in the best anyways! Well here are a few more pics...we'll probably post on Monday after the Easter festivities take place! HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!!! HAPPY EGG HUNTING! THE PARK
We went to the park yesterday! It was so beautiful outside we couldn't resist! Averie rode the swings and the pretty horse and climbed on the jungle gym and did the little slide! She had fun! We will probably go there a couple times a week once the weather stays nice! We also ran some errands and visited daddy at work. He was happy to see us...since it was his 12 hour day!
Today we had an Easter Party at our house! We had Taylor, Emma, Ella, Kylie and Reagan over (along with Janet and MiMi). We had chicken, mixed veggies, oranges, grapes and applesauce and Jello! Everything went well! The kids also hunted Easter eggs in the family room (it was rainy and windy) and made a door knob decoration for spring! It was a lot of fun! Averie even looked for eggs once they were all over the floor! She was picking them up and putting them in her basket! We're getting her ready for Sunday!!!THE CLAN

CUTE AND BRAVE
Averie in one of her cute outfits from the weekend (she is standing like a big girl)! This one she wore to church and to grandma and grandpa's for lunch! I (mommy) actually had a pink shirt and brown gauchos on...so we matched! :o) The second outfit she wore to Kristy's shower on Saturday. She would hardly let me take a good pic, she kept pushing her toy everywhere!!! I kept on chasing her and trying!
We had a good weekend! We also were outside a lot too and did some yard work. But I didn't bring the camera out with us. I will get some outside this week for sure since it is supposed to be so nice! Averie is also 13 months today! I can't believe it! She is getting so big. Just yesterday she started taking steps. She took a couple and than leaned into my arms! And today she gets very excited when I ask her if she wants to walk. She'll immediately crawl to me, hold my fingers to stand up, let go and take 3 or 4 steps into my arms! And she was doing this over and over this afternoon! It is so cute! Hard to believe she'll be walking soon!
CHEESE AND SMILE
Here is Averie outside enjoying the nice weather from last week! We haven't had internet since Thursday. I think the storms last week fried our modem. Anyways, we are back up and running! :o) Yay! Not much new to report yet...we are busy with the house. Shopping for house stuff and daddy is busy painting and doing trim and all that! We did start to organize our bedroom...FINALLY! It was something we had procrastinated on since we moved in almost two months ago! But now...things are slowly coming together!!
Averie is doing good...no walking yet! But so very close! She will now stand if you tell her to. She thinks it's a game, but I think that it is helping her realize that there is more to life than crawling! She is also doing good with eating and teething and everything! No new teeth to report yet though. Right now she is napping! She has adjusted well to the time change. She is sleeping in to about 8am now and going to bed around 8pm. She is also still taking two naps. She will keep those for a while yet, I think! Well, that is about all for now! :o)
