HAPPY WEEKEND!

Here is Averie and Rece playing this weekend! Rece and his mommy and daddy came for a visit! We put his daddy to work with Averie's daddy! Lots of stuff to do around here (lots of stuff got done)! Rece and Averie had a lot of fun playing. Averie was sending Rece subliminal messages - so hopefully soon he'll want to walk! He definintely likes to walk...holding on to his mommy or daddy's fingers! That is a "step" in the right direction! Rece-thank you for coming. I can't wait to play again SOON!! <3 Averie Jean

Here is Averie "smiling" for the camera! :o)

Here is Rece chasing Averie's new kittens (well actually someone dropped off three kittens to the barn next door, where there isn't a house or people or anything...so we have sort of taken charge of them). Here are the two tiger ones (one named Poppy and one named Lily). Daisy is black and white, but no picture yet. They are so cute and playful! The dogs especially love them! He he...

FUN WEEKEND

Daddy and Averie

See the pretty flower in my hair?
*******************************
So...this weekend was a busy one! We went to Averie's Grandpa and Grandma's for the weekend! They live about 2 and a half hours away. We met Averie's Aunt and Uncle and cousins there and stayed two nights! We played at the park, went out for pizza, cruised around the house, went for a walk on a walking trail and had so much fun! The weather was very nice on Saturday! Sunday started out rainy, but we still got to go for a walk on a trail near the house in the afternoon! Maddie and Max were big enough to go for a boat ride (Gpa and Gma live on a lake and have a fishing boat)! We decided that next year Averie would be able to go on the boat! Averie also mastered the skill of standing up and walking from a sitting position. She can do it better with toys in her hands...I think it gives her more leverage! She is sure walking everywhere! She isn't pushing her cars much anymore...mostly walking from me...to a toy...to me...to the couch and back to me. It's very cute! Today Averie a little under the weather so we haven't done grocery shopping or taken our walk, but if she is better later we will at least go for a wagon ride around the house! She had a 102.2 fever before lunch. It was down to 100 before her nap, so we'll see! Here are some more pics of the weekend!

MOTHER'S DAY

We had a happy Mother's Day! It was a little gloomy outside, but we went to church, had lunch with Grandma and then a nap (not me, but Averie) and then went to GG's for a cookout with the family! It was a great time...we had burgers (brats and dogs too), beans (which I made), fresh fruit, jello salad, potato salad and yummy cookies and dirt cake (made by me...which is why I did not take a nap) :o) But that is okay! I relaxed at the cookout since there were many people willing to give Averie attention! Averie also got me a picnic basket and a charm for my bracelet! She was very thoughtful!

Well, tomorrow is the last day for swimming! We get to get into the water with her and learn some of the techniques that Miss Cindy has been teaching her. I am excited to get in with Averie and see how she reacts to that! Matt is getting in too! It should be fun. Hopefully I can show my grandma (she is coming to watch) how to use my camera and get some shots of us with her! And after swimming, daddy goes to work and we are going to Emma and Ella's for lunch with the whole clan. And Michael too (not in the clan pic)!

Beginning next week (weather permitting), Averie and I will start walking every morning. That way we might start weaning her of the am nap and keep mommy from gaining too much weight since I have been eating more regularly, and not always healthy stuff! I think I have a little room to gain...but I don't want to gain weight from a poor diet and lack of exercise! And then the zoo Thursday...weather permitting (I feel like I have had to say that for everything...that stinks)...with Grandma and GG! BUSY, BUSY are we!

JUST RELAX

Here is Averie in her float...without assistance. She has completed her lessons and is now able to float, roll over to her float and has been flipped around, dropped off the edge, pushed under and done all of it with and without a life jacket on! And flipping over with a life jacket on is not easy...it took her a little bit to figure it out (that is part of the survival skills at the end of the class...as are summer clothes, which she is doing on Monday. And winter clothes, which is Tuesday). We will be in the water with her on Wednesday for the final class! She was also sent underwater under the rope and had to figure out how to turn over and float with the rope in her way! Talk about amazing! The website is amazing alone, but watching Averie progress through the program was so cool! She will also eventually learn the other concepts of the sequence (the swim part of swim, float, swim) but until she is a little older and stronger she knows all she needs to know for now! She only learned the floater part (ages 6-12 months are usually floaters and 12 months up can do the whole sequence, it just depends on the individual child). She'll get refreshers (and taught the rest of the sequence when her body is stronger and she is a little older) at the end of summer and next spring!

What else is going on? Well, we have started feeding ourself. With help of course! A little messy, but it is time! Pretty much anything with a spoon now, she wants to help. I don't mind at all...hopefully she'll be a pro in five months! That'll be nice! Well, our week has been busy...we had a Dr. appt. for baby two, and Averie had her eye specialist appt. and doesn't have to have surgery...the Dr. basically said that her duct with grow as she grows and will eventually stop the overflow of tears which is causing the gunk in her eye! I'm glad about no surgery! He said he see 1000's of kids with this situation and they correct themselves most of the time! YEA!

PICK US UP!!!!
******************
Averie and I met Rece and his mommy for lunch and a little shopping yesterday! It was a good time! And not a bad drive! We each drove half way between (about 1 hour and 20 minutes)! We will have to do it again soon! We also found a park on the way out of town too! A huge fancy park! We've also been busy this week with Delaney...she came and stayed the night last night because her mom is in Cancun! And we have also been busy with swimming lessons!!! Which are going well!

Over the weekend we went and visited some friends Bill and Kami and had a good time there. They live in a beautiful house! We grilled out went and bought them some patio furniture and played with their dog Luke! He was a nice, loving dog! We have been so busy we haven't been able to keep up with out online time! And today is cleaning day (well, yesterday was, but sacrificed it to see Rece and Tonia)! Well, that's all for now! :o)
